Selected as featured artists for their powerful connection with youth and positive messages in their music, Alma Desnuda and Tara J. King have written the inspiring anthem Life We Got for Rock Our World, a non-profit program founded in 2004 by teacher and technology pioneer, Carol Anne McGuire. The program utilizes simple yet powerful technology (I.e. Skype, Garage Band) to empower students from around the world to collaborate on music multimedia projects.

The result is a fun and educational experience that creates worldwide community and challenges youth to "rock our world for peace." The Rock Our World Collaboration, comprised of over 1000 people and spanning the entire globe,  is pleased to bring you Life We Got. Enjoy, and Love the Life You Got!

Alma Desnuda (Spanish for “Naked Soul”), musical group from the San Francisco Bay Area, is known for captivating harmonies, rhythmic grooves, and inspiring lyrics. The California Acoustic Soul group was dubbed by ABC News, “A fun-loving bunch who bring a colorful and soulful sound to their audiences.” The internationally-touring quartet recently released their sophomore album, Riders, and are touring the world, begging the question, "Is your alma desnuda?" 

The non-profit Rock Our World was founded in 2004 by Carol Anne McGuire, an award-winning educator who began her career teaching blind and visually impaired students over 20 years ago. ROW connects students on every continent to collaborate in music composition, filmmaking and meeting each other in live video conferences. Carol Anne has worked with companies such as Apple, Discovery, Disney, American Film Institute, Google and Will Smith. 

Tara J. King is an Los Angeles based musician, vocalist, and songwriter by way of New York City. Her unique style has wide appeal with listeners, as she combines vocal talent with lyrical themes of love, community, and consciousness. Her songwriting has been sought after by Grammy award-winning producers and world famous performing acts. Her new EP, “Listen”, is available now. 

Paul Devoto is an educator, innovator, and filmmaker from Northern California. Based on his pioneering work in education and technology integration, he was recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator in 2009. After nine years as a teacher at the leading edge of his field, he decided to become a full-time filmmaker, marrying his passion for the lens, his friends’ band, and education.
